I agree, no sex, but seeing as we were all teenagers at one time and we will do what we want. I would suggest either the bc pill or the patch. they also have a shot, but you really should check with a medical professional to see what is best for you. (age, medical history etc.)

Since birth control is often used to control hormones as well as to prevent pregnancy, you need not worry about people advising you about abstinence.

Your best option for choosing a birth control is to speak to your health care professional. Most people find the pill to be the simplest solution. However, there are many varieties to choose from.

If you have a more active lifestyle and would find that remembering to take pills everyday is too difficult, you may want to consider another option.

One new option is the patch. You will need to wear it everyday for three weeks out of every four. Some people find that it causes mild skin irritation. There is also a ring which may be inserted into your vagina. OR you may simply want to get a depoprovera shot. In the case of these shots, some people prefer them because your period will stop or decrease a lot in flow.

If you have a bad reaction to hormome treatments such as the ones listed above there are other options. You should ALWAYS use a condom, even if you are on some form of birth control because none of these methods aside from condoms protect against STDs such as herpes and AIDS.

You can also consider getting a diaphragm which is insertable and uses a spermicidal jelly and acts like a plug.

I hope this helps!

My mother purchased Cassia cologne at the Luxor in Las Vegas. Does anyone know where I can find it?

The best way to find out is to go to the doctor. But just to let you know that all birth control pills have side effects and one of them is gaining weight. So probably the best is condom. But if you had unprotected sex and you know that you could get pragnent, you can ask doctor for an emergency pill (that how it calls) wich you can take within 4 days of unprotected sex. Many clinic offer birth control options for free. If you are in California it would be Women's Health Specialists. Get Yellow Pages to find one in your state.

Are there any therapists out there?

I agree with the rest no sex but if you are gunna have sex use a condom and a good spermicide

What's a good way to get over flu symptoms fast?

One that an ob/gyn recommends. Growing up, my friend was put on Triphasil 28 when she was around 15 due to irregular periods and severe cramps. Taking the pill regulated her and helped control the pain associated with her period. I do not agree with taking birth control to prevent pregnancy. only if it's deemed medically necessary by a doctor.

I had my cavities filled the other day and they are still really sensitive and in fact they still hurt.Normal?

Obviously the most effective birth control is abstinence. At your age, it's probably a good idea. There's too much other stuff you have to deal with at sixteen to add sex to the mix.

However, since that is a decision you have to make for yourself, the next best bet is to talk to your doctor. If you're uncomfortable talking to you doctor, get over it. Your health is more important, and if you can't talk about it, you certainly shouldn't be doing it. (Sorry, got a bit carried away there.)

It's a good idea to use a birth control method that YOU control, like the pill or the patch. These are also good because they are always there - you don't run the risk of pregnancy because they weren't handy. Be honest about yourself - are you the kind of person who might forget to take a pill every day? If so, be sure to mention that to your doctor. The pill only works if you use it properly.

Even if you are on birth control, you should still use a condom whenever you have sex. Birth control is only part of the picture. Only condoms can protect you against sexually transmitted diseases. Don't rely on the guy to provide the condoms - buy some yourself, and insist that he use them.

Also, even the most effective birth control is not perfect, and it becomes less effective if you are not using it correctly. It's always a good idea to use two different methods each time.

There's a good website below that talks about the different types of birth control, their strengths and weaknesses, and things you need to know in order to use them correctly.
