How can I get the most out of my sleep?


Question:
I never have the adequate 8 hours of sleep anymore. It's no surprise that I'm very tired and groggy a lot of the time, but I am also gaining weight and feeling pessimistic. For the next month or so, it will be nearly impossible for me to get sufficient sleep. So how can I get most out of the little sleep that I get now?

Answers:
After a horrendous break-up I couldn't sleep at all. I bought a book about sleep, studied it (by simply reading the book, and experimenting with the suggestions offered) and I've been a sleep expert ever since.

YOU MUST, find a way to calm your mind, so that you can doze off to lala land, anytime you want. I can lay down at just about any time of the day and sleep for 20 or 30 minutes and wake up feeling rested and refreshed.

Also, you need good blood flow to the brain to go into deep sleep. 1/2 cup of coffee works for many people, and also deep breathing AND concentrating on deep breathing can put you into a deep sleep.

But a book, become a sleep expert like I did 15 years ago.

Try Tylenol PM. It is non-addictive and allows you to sleep longer than if not taken.

20 min meditation is equal 2 4hr sleep. How ever u could not avoid sleep completely. U hav no proper time schedule. Plan a proper schedule.

it's not necessary to have 8hours sleep to be fully fit,but thetotal sleep whenyou sleep the whole without too much dreaming, try taking a nap during lunch break for about 15 to 30 min it to rechange and it feel good,it works on me when i have little sleep sometimes.

So something is worrying your mind; nagging your mind;some unknown fear; forthcoming events like job interview,examination, enquiry etcetc , or some disappointment or frustaration, some loss of money or prestige,or love or near dear one.
It can be anything.
Remember one thing what has happened has happened,whatever is to happen is definitely going to happen, So NOTHING IS IN YOUR HAND OR IT IS INSPITE OF YOUR EFFORTS.
So put the burden on the LORD. Have FAITH COMPLETE FAITH
and GO ABOUT YOUR WORK FEARLESSLY AS PER YOUR BEST OF ABILITY. PLAN WHAT TO DO, HOW TO DO, WHEN TO DO, WHERE TO DO,ETC
Draw a plan of action date wise hourly wise and synchronise .
keep a check list double check it.
Eat well and at allotted time. When you eat concentrate on eating forget all the rest from mind. Dont think while eating Dont read or watch Tv or discuss business while eating. CHEW WELL ENJOY EATING RELISH IT TASTE IT EAT BELLYFUL TAKE FRUITS PLENTY TAKE GRENNS ENSURE CALCIUM VITAMIN IRON B COMPLEX ARE ALL THERE IN YOUR IN TAKE.
DONT ALLOW IRREGULAR BOWEL MOVEMENTS OR CONSTIPATION TO SET IT IN. GET FULL EVACUATION AND FULL SATISFACTION
TAKE PLENTY OF WATER & AT NIGHT BEFORE HITTING BED TAKE A HOT CUP OF MILK WITH TURMERIC POWDER ADDED.
DO PROPER EXERCISE BRISK WALKING FOR 45 MINUTES.
TAKE BATH REGULARLY MAY BE MILD HOT WATER BATH BEFORE NIGHT SLEEP HELP CALMING THE NERVES.
BECOME DEAD TIRED TO HIT THE BED.

IF THE ABOVE DOESNOT HELP CONSULT DOCTOR AND TEMPEORARILY TAKE MILD SEDATIVES FOR THE NEXT ONE MONTH OR SO AND THEN DISCONTINUE.
