What does walgreens do if you dont pick up your prescription?

I put 1 in on friday and got 1 automated call saying it was ready. I cant afford it and it's already monday and I dont even need it anymore.

What we do is the automated phone thing will call you a few times *you can have us put in your profile NOT TO BE CALLED using the automated phone if it is really a hassle* If you do not pick it up within 7 days (some pharmacies wait 10 days) we store it on your profile. You can call whenever you want within a year (non controlled) or 6 months (controlled) of when it was written and we can fill it that day for you. There are some discount cards if you can't afford it because of no insurance.

Oh, and to save you and the Walgreens crew time and effort, you don't need to call and let us know you don't want it.we will just delete it right back into your profile around Friday.

well I work at a Save-on drugs. After a week we put it back in stock if we can't reach you and and cancel it. I think most pharmacies do the same. But prescriptions are good for six months, so you could always go and get it later if you wanted to.
