Yes, I have lost 60 lbs using a combination of Adipex, diet (came from my doctor with the prescription discount card for the Adipex, and exercise (30-45 minutes 5 days a week on a recumbent bike plus strength training 2 days a week). My doctor is now tapering me off of the Adipex as it is intended for short term use only and I am now at my goal weight (125 lbs!)

Everyone is different but the side effects I had were increased thirst, trouble sleeping the first 2 weeks (I now take my pill earlier in the day and I sleep like a baby), mild constipation the first three weeks (Make sure you get enough fiber in your diet, it really helps).

Overall, I feel really great on the Adipex. It really kills your appetite, so make sure you eat. I joined an online support group of phentermine (generic Adipex) users and it was obvious that the ones who have the most trouble are the ones who are not eating hardly anything at all. The one's who don't eat start losing their hair, and their skin breaks out; they have no energy, get severe mood swings and headaches, etc. These are side effects of starvation not Adipex use. So please follow a balanced diet and eat at least 1200 calories a day.

Find a weight loss doctor, he will give you a program tailored to you and monitor your progress each month, and answer all of your questions, and help you to keep the weight off once you get off of the Adipex. Also the Adipex is cheaper at your local pharmacy than on-line ($30-40/month instead of $80-120). The doctor can give you a card so that you never pay over $46.10 for the Adipex at your pharmacy. My doctor charges $25 for the visit each month, and I pay $35 at the pharmacy. A friend of mine, who is also seeing the same doctor, gets hers for $10 because her insurance covers this medication.
