still spotting after my period.?

My period was December 7th and today Dec 18th I still spotting. My Period has gone from 28 days to 25 days. December 2nd I had a ultrasound the doctor told me I have a complex ovarian cyst in my left ovary. I only have one ovary. Is it possible because I have the cyst I bledding so long time 12 days?
