how do i get wax out of my ears without syringing them?

Question:
i get buildup of wax in the ears which is difficult to remove

Answers:
The hospitals use hydrogen peroxide. Lay down, put a little in your ears. The bubbles may make it feel a little uncomfortable but just let it set. Once it's been in there a few minutes, turn over on your other side onto some napkins. It will melt the wax.

edit: dont use olive oil like the below recommends. It can accumulate bacteria and cause an ear infection.

Other Answers:
Do not use a Q-tip. Q-tips can rupture your eardrum, causing hearing damage. No one actually needs it except for those with excessive earwax. Even then, do not use a Q-Tip. Pour a few drops of olive oil or hydrogen peroxide inside your ear. They should melt away the wax.

Try an ear wax candle avaliable at health food stores and some drug stores

Hydrogen Peroxide after a warm bath or shower. Don't waste your time with hot wax. It's a gimmick.

Find someone in your area that does Ear Candling. If you have never had it done, it may take 3 times in two weeks and then you can do maintenance every so often. I would not recommend you do it yourself as this does require an open flame and it is near your hair. It will help clean your ears and also helps your sinuses. The average cost is about $25 and there is NO PAIN like with blasting your ears with water.

I know this may sound weird but it REALLY WORKS. Liquid colace, which is a stool softener, can be found at the pharmacy, just put a few drops in your ear and let it sit for a few min., depending on how much wax you may have. you may have to use some water in a syringe to help remove wax if you have alot of build up.

ear candles may help you. becareful though, if the ear is also dry, the ear candle may hurt.

go to the doc. He has an instrument he uses. It's painless and effective. I go every 3 or 4 months.
