Maybe some foreign oils got on your head without you knowing. Wash your pillow case regularly!

It's true that overshampooing will cause more oil to be produced (it's your body's way of trying to compensate for all the natural oil it lost), so try to avoid overwashing. Have you ever tried putting a small amount of baby powder on greasy roots? Depending on your hair color, it disappears pretty easily, and it soaks up a lot of oil while masking the shine.

Other Answers:
overshampooing hair can cause it to become oily as well.

think of another way to dry out ur scalp.

or you cold try using lemon and water in the final rinse of ur hair.

for a quick fix, talc on the scalp works well.

overdryin the scalp would cause ur scalp to revolt and produce more oil and so that's why i mentioned the above.

Also, don't use a 2 in 1 shampoo plus moisturizer as ppl with oliy hair near the scalp really don't need that, if the ends of ur hair is dry then apply conditioner only there.

good luck!
