but tampons hurt. ):?

Question:
and and, i have to go swimming at cammmmmmppp. in front of all of my class matesssss.
am i putting it in wrong?
or, how do i put it in?

Answers:
try using the slender or the lite ones sometimes they have ones for teens. make sure you use ones that have a plastic applicator. I find that only tampax compacts work for me but the problem with those are that you can't buy the lites separately they only come in the multipak.
tampax pearls are okay too, they too have the plastic applicator. look at the package insert for instructions, they also have diagrams too, that would be the most help
definitely do NOT keep trying and trying. just make sure you get it in far enough or else you'll still feel it
if you keep trying it will begin to get dry in there and feel really painful
if you've done it wrong, take it out and put a pad on and try again later.
don't try it when you're not on your period, it really helps if you try it when your flow is heavier
if you're having difficulties, make sure you're relaxed and you can even put a bit of lubricant on the tampon if necessary
I'd get the tampax compact multi-pak and start out by using the lites and then try the regular, discard the supers though (that's what I do all the time, well not throw them out, just give it to a friend or something). I've had a lot of discomfort trying out different tampons too. You just have to find the right one for you.

READ THE DIRECTIONS, THEN KEEP TRYING AFTER REMOVING THE ONE BEFORE IT

well am a dude but supposably if u do it right u cant even feel it make sure ur not putting it in backwards jk lol

if hurts its one of two things..you are either not putting it in all the way, or you are buying an absorbancy that it too high for you.

read the directions cant go wrong when you know how to read.

Try getting applicator tampons - they're housed in a sort of plastic "syringe" (sorry, can't think of a better description!) and you push them inside using that. I find them to be more comfortable.

As for the pain, it could partly be a result of your hymen not being 100% broken, or it could be something else entirely. Make sure you're pushing it right in - the directions in the packet will show you how to do it and explain everything.

If you're still experiencing pain, then I suggest going to the doctor - they can make sure that there is nothing physically wrong with you and probably give you some really good advice on how best to insert them.

You could also consider going on the contraceptive pill or implant - it changes your body's chemistry and can be used to stop your periods from occurring at all. However, that's something that you'd also need to discuss with your doctor.
