With a bit of weight training to build a little muscle (a pound of muscle burns 50 calories a day, a pound of fat burns just 2 so the musclier you are the more you burn calories even when you're not exercising) the weight will drop off you.

You can lose more weight by walking then you can from running. When you run you burn sugar when you walk you burn FAT and that is what you want right, and you can do more like 5 miles a day.

Is can of hard to tell, because so many things that you need to take in consideration, like diet, other exercises, etc. But running is one of the best excesses to lose weighs.

What would help you is to limit your carbs during the night and use them during the day when you work out.
Healthy weight loss should be between 10-15 lbs a month. Then modify your dieat and routine to adjust to your new body.

OK! I am also 5'2'' and I gained 60lbs, during my pregnancy. So after I finished nursin the baby I still was at 170LBS. Instead of running, which is too hardcore, on your joints at this point! I do 30minutes of cardio on an eliptical machine they have here at work. I also went to Wal-Mart and bought a side stepper, like the ones seen on tv, and do 30minutes of cardio on that machine while watching tv at home!

It really depends on how many calories you burn versus how many you consume. You could eat all the health foods in the world but if you are not burning more calories than you are eating you are wasting time.
Maybe you should keep track of your caloric intake in a journal or something.
The safest way to lose weight is about 1-2 lbs./wk so you have a better chance at keeping it off and also to give your skin a chance to recoil you don't want to lose too much weight and have your skin sag.
If you burn 1000 more calories than you eat a day you could lose 2 lbs. a week.

go on a special k diet eat a bolw of ceral in the morring and betwween breakfast and lunch eat a special k ceral bar then a light lunch then eat another bar between lunch and supper if u get hungry and after try not to eat nothing but if u get hungry eat a ceral bar only no sugar in your ceral in the morring neither no cokes or mabey 1 a day
but the bolw of ceral has to be sprcial k
you actually loose more weight power walking then running,jogging,or walking
im not sure but just to let you know i was told that speed walking is better for you and does more for you then runnig does and you dont get tired so fast so you can get more than 2 miles in you could do like 4, try it!
It would really depend on the metabolism of your body. Some people will burn fat faster than others. You should try it for a week or so and find out what the difference is for you and figure it out that way. This will be based on your body's metabolism and not the unrealistic expectations of someone else's.

A pound equals about 3500 calories which means for every 3500 calories you either cut out of your diet or burn by exercising you will lose a pound. Congratulations on the new lifestyle.
