Yes. COPD includes various lung conditions, such as emphysema, broncheolitis, even asthma is considered COPD. Sarcoidosis also involves airway obstruction that prohibits sufficient exhalation to allow enough inhalation. There are many different lung diseases, many idiopathic, meaning of unknown cause, such as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. My disease is yet to be diagnosed, and there's a difference of opinion between doctors/hospitals. If you or someone you know has a breathing problem, do see a doctor ASAP. In the beginning I was told I had adult onset asthma and emphysema. I believed that for three years until getting much worse and finally seeking a second opinion.

No but alot of people do. See a pulmonary specialist and have
them test your blood gases. If your satuation levels are 89%
or lower , see to it that you get on oxygen therapy. You will
need to be on oxygen.

my dad has COPD,he was dignosed with emphysema 13 yrs ago, its only now that he has got much worse, my dad will not go into hospital,the dr said he has acute pulmonary oedema,right sided heart failure,he has two massive blisters on his feet the dr said that was fluid seeping out of his skin, he has a ulcer come up on his foot, it seems to be one thing after another,the dr said that he cant do no more ,he has prescribed him higher dosage of morphine,he was put on morphine when he was diagnosed with pulmonary oedema ,if u need anymore information just e mail me lesley
you mean copd it is normaly smokers that hve it i dont personaly have it but Odo work on a respiratoray ward.
