Does skipping lunch/dinner lead to losing wt. fast?

Question:
i mean i have to lose weight before a certain time frame and i kinda made my own diet and stuff and i am working out as well.

Answers:
No, skipping meals leads to burning muscle, not fat. Eating 6-10 snacks a day (smaller than normal meals) leads to weight loss.

Other Answers:
no it has the opposite effect

yeap if u dont eat much for lunch but u will probably lose ur mind too.so just reduce the number of calories and exercise it will take longer but its doesnt screw up ur body.sipping a meal would lower ur metabolism and when u do eat something ur body just stores it. so because ur already exercising just lower the amount of calories u take rather than not eating lunch or dinner.

Nope, it just leads to you being more hungry and more likely to nibble in between meals. Plus it makes your system slow down. to maintain a good metabolic rate you need to eat small amounts and regularly. The best way to lose weight in the short term is to drink plenty of water, cut back on fats and carbohydrates and eat plenty of fresh fruit and veg and protein such as lean meat, chicken and fish. Hope this helps :)

Nope skipping meals will usually slow weight loss because your body will goi nto stravation mode. The other thing is if you do lose it, the moment you start again, it will rebound your weight to prevent that starvation mode again.

Lowering calories and eating enough will help. Skipping meals is a sure way to sabatoge your efforts.

No, it won't lead you to lose weight quicker, it will lead you to being ill!

The best way to lose weight is to eat less and exercise more, that's the only safe way you can do it, and DON'T eat junk food!

No it won't. Instead eat the right types of foods and in moderation. Work out or walk to burn calories and the extra fat in your body.

I've read somewhere that skipping a meal slows down your metabolism, and when your metabolism slows down, you don't lose much weight. I think it's about right too. There was a time in which I only ate once a day for more than a year and i didn't lose much weight. I only got lots of head aches and a feeling of dizziness. When I finally went to a clinic for my headache, the nurse told me i wasn't eating anything because she said the palm my hands and my tongue were too white for a normal non-white girl ;)). I used to feel faint whenever there was too much sun, too. I didn't drink much water either. Lol. Anyway, people here have been recommending to me that eating small meals every two hours would actually boost your metabolism and drinking lots of water would help too. I find both hard to believe (water blows baloons up as it does humans, that's what i have been told all my young life). And i'm giving both a try. Good luck to you!
