What do you do when you get angry or depressed?


Question:
Different people have different ways of acting when they get depressed or mad, how do you express your anger?

Answers:
Do nothing, act nothing and say nothing.

Other Answers:
Chopping people's limbs off with a hatchet is very soothing.
Consider it like active meditation for psychopaths.

But seriously:
everyone is different, try martial arts, sports, aerobics, weightlifting, Tai Chi, yoga, meditation, painting, poetry, pottery, walking the dog, flamenco dancing, gardening. until you find what works for you.
You can use the anger or the energy to direct you constructively.

Exercise releases endorphins which are natural painkillers; it regulates your brain, mood, body.

On the emotional level, try to take a minute out to analyze the sequence of events that caused your feeling, and how you're going to alter your response next time.

lol, I usually chainsmoke. It's a way to keep my mouth occupied, and from swearing my head off at people.

Like most men, I bottle it up. I used to drink but now try to spend time relaxing with my family watching movies and playing games. I also find reading Yahoo! Message Boards entertaining as well as this new Answer site.

WHEN I GET ANGRY I DONT REACT BUT GO TO SILENCE AND OBSERVE THE REASONS FOR MY ANGER, USUALLY I FOUND THAT ANGER IS A RESULT OF OUR REACTIONS WITHOUT WHICH WE COULD HAVE DONE BETTER

TALKING TO FRIENDS AND UR FAMILY AND SPENDING QUALITY TIME WITH THEM IS I DO IN DEPRESSION.
