Why do you get more boogers on some days than others?

Question:
Seriously, I am very serious. Why are some days more booger-y than others?

Answers:
This is due to your bodies own response to the allergens, dirt, and dust in the air. The more that you are exposed to--the more your nose has to "evacuate" through the production of nasal secretions (i.e. boogers).

There are little hairs in your nose called cilia that gather all the dust and dirt etc. (sort of like being swept together like a broom) and these particles are what make up the secretions, along with mucous your body produces to lubricate your nasal passage. If you have a cold or sinus infection, your body is working overtime to evacuate that from your body as well--hence, major boogers!! :<

YOu are nasty.

'Cause I dig more on some days than on others. Thus, I get more.

Probably drier and dustier. That makes for some good crustys!

because if your nose runs, and your feet smell, you're built the wrong way,

I just pick my nose a lot. that's all.

It's just like asking, why does a person's nose get runny on some days and why not on other days. Same with nasal congestion.

There are just some days that you might be congested in your nasal area, thus producing more snot that builds up in your nose. Or same thing if you have a runny nose, but that doesn't cause as much build up.

My only suggestion is to take a nasal decongestant, don't take Benadryl though, it's *crap*. But if you have a congested nose, all that snot has to go somewhere, thus resulting in a person being more "booger-y".

it depends on the amount of humidity in the air as well as the allergins (dust particles, etc.)you inhale. Also how hydrated your mucus membranes are.

Could be the result of a number of things from environment, allergies and lifestyle to being a "Staph" carrier.

hahahha! i think it has something to do with the moisture in the air-- dryness causes it to harden maybe!
