It sounds like you have gum disease. Get yourself to the dentist, pronto!

Sound like an infection. Have it checked asap.

Inflamation?

Maybe a canker sore? See your dentist if you're unsure.

This is a canker sore. A lot of people get them. It's nothing to worry about and will go away soon. Until then, drink lemon and water and gargle with salt/water.

I GOT SWollen gums. go get checked out. it may be abcess tooth. and if thats what it is get immediately help. cause they can hurt gargle with epsom salt water

Do NOT drink lemon and water for this it doesn't do anything to help the issue. If you have a canker sore (herpes) you may or may not have found these spots before. They are very painful and look like a blister, exactly like a cold sore on your lip. If this is NOT what yours looks like then it could be several things.
1) You were eating something and scratched the gum unknowingly.
2) You were eating popcorn (even as far back as a week ago) and part of the kernal is wedged between your tooth and the gum.
3) You have an infected tooth, and will notice other symptoms (searing pain in a particular tooth when something cold touches it).
4) You have been brushing too hard and have rubbed the gum raw.
5) You have not been flossing properly and have the beginnings of gum disease.
The only way to know for sure which of these it may be is to go to your dentist. He/She can tell you just by looking at it. To tell you the truth an Assistant (like myself) can tell you by looking at it to, even though we are supposed to let the doctor do the talking.

just wanted to clarify that canker sores and herpes (cold sores or fever blisters) are NOT the same thing.
