Are there charities that help pay medical bills for diabetics?

Question:
My mother was admitted to the ER for insulin shock. The bills are over $1,000. Does anyone know of any organizations that can help out with medical bills for diabetics?

Answers:
Talk to your doctor about your financial situation. He / she can probably refer you to the best help that is out there in your area. Your local health department and social services would be a couple of places to check also.

Good luck and best wishes.

Other Answers:
Many charities offer medical bill assistance to the financially disadvantaged. Try a google search and see what you come up with. When I did that Catholic charities popped up..

Hi, There should be a Financial Assistance department of the hospital. You could speak to them, and they may work out something with the bill. They probably have information of other places to look for help too. Good luck.
