why does my ten year old wets the bed?

Question:
it's a problem

Answers:
We were having this problem with our 6 year old son. I went out on a whim and we went to the Dr. He said some kids don't produce the hormone that controls urine production properly. He did a test and my son’s was a plateau. A normal person will be high during the day and low at night. Throw in the fact my son is a very deep sleeper and we were dealing with bed wetting. He put him on a medication called Desmopressin and Viola! Problem solved. So glad we went and explored options instead of making him feel like a baby for still wearing pull ups at night.

might just be playing disgusting game. I know my cousins used to play the pee fight, where they'd use theyr 'swords' to..

Possibly because s/he drinks a lot before going to bed. then dreams that s/he's going to the bathroom. and oops.

You didn't give enough details. It couldn't be the six-pack of beer he drinks before bed, could it?

it could be from his /her nerves/it something bothering this child.it could be freinds it could be his parents.

STRESS

Hopefully it will end soon. Most bedwetters have no idea of why it happens. They simply wake up in a wet bed, ashamed. Almost all outgrow it around 10 or 11. Certainly drinking less at night may help, but don't let your kid become dehydrated.

There are many reasons why this could be. Children sometimes wet the bed as a physical manifestation of psychological problems. The child may also have problems with their urinary system. The only way to be sure is to take the child to a doctor. Best of luck to you!

This is sometimes a deeper pshycological problem, there may be something bothering them, school, problems with friends, home life. Sometimes it is such a thing as a child sleeps so deeply that they don't awaken in time, or there is a hormone some children don't produce that stops them from having accidents. Most importantly try not to scold the child, until you find out it it is a medical problem, they are already feeling terrible regarding this.
