Yes, you will actually lose weight at first. But because your body isn't getting the nutrition it really needs with such a low caloric intake, it will actually store more fat to compensate for that.
Losing weight is only safe when done SLOWLY. There is no other safe way. Rapid weight loss is never permanent, and you will often gain MORE weight back than you had initially lost.
My suggestion is to at least take in 1,500 calories per day if you insist on a really low calorie diet, and do some light exercise on alternating days. Limit your sugars and carbs, but don't completely eliminate any single food group. A little bit of everything is the way to go.
