when you love doing what you do and get paid for doing it then you never have to work a day in your life. i don't work - i play for a living and get paid, too!! when people know that you play and not work they like to come see you because people like being around happy people - that's when you make money - when the money isn't important. i know it sounds strange, but really, think of life. isn't this true for anything? there's a grocery store i go to locally with a check out girl who is so nice; even if her line is longer i go to that line because i like nice people.
Go to a really good school that has the best reputation in your city. Always aim for the upscale places and definitely get your license. After I got my licence I picked a fancy prestigious salon, got trained under a stylist that was the best, she was a perfectionist. I charge alot now and do business on the side to make even more money. I gained so many friends and it is a blast! My friend moved to New York and now works with runway models after his talent was discovered. He competed in hair competitions all over. I am sure he makes lots of money! If you start off in a low end school, work at Mc Cuts then you limit your abilities to make alot of money. Hope that helps.
