i been with braces/brackets for over 4 years, with that harm my teeth?

Question:

Answers:
That's a great question. I had braces for 2 years (age 12 -14) to correct slight crowding at the back and side of my mouth.you couldn't even see them. I wish I would have left them alone, and not worried about it. Braces do mess with your enamel, and sometimes the coloration of your teeth will differ after their removal. This is on an individual basis, and some people aren't affected. I have since had veneers put on my teeth to correct the thinned enamel, and color differences that were there.

Other Answers:
Not if you take good care of your teeth. If you don't brush them, and never floss it could be bad.

But if you take good care of your teeth it should be fine.
If you feel like you've had braces for too long, try going for a consultation with a different doctor, so that you can have a second opinion about your teeth/bite.

As long as you've taken good care of your teeth then they should be fine. Unfortunately, if you haven't taken good care of your teeth, you may find you have a lot of cavities once the braces come off. I always thought I took good care of my teeth when I had my braces on, but when they came off I had several cavities.

As long as you are maintaining proper oral hygiene (brushing and flossing daily) you should be fine.
