mama told me not to slouch when i was a kid

What about trying to stand up straight?

Write something on your hand to remind you not to. and trace over it everyday.

You'll have to make it a practice to purposely sit or stand up straight. Every time you notice yourself slouching, straighten up those shoulders and your back. Tell you friends or family around you to let you know if they notice you slouching. After you practice not slouching for awhile, it will become a habit not to slouch. Good luck!

try to balance a book on your head

I used to have this problem as a teen and I bought a support bra that crosses in the back. from avon and it works if your a guy you can also put a book on your head for a little while to aligne your spine . yoga helps also.

Straighten up and fly right.

just think about it and if u catch urself immediately straigten ur back yoga may also help

walk on your hands

Put the top 1/3 of your monitor at eye level.

Never sit in a chair that rocks back.

Exercise your arms by holding them out to your sides and rotating them BACKWARD, never frontwards as that will make your pectoral muscles stronger and make your problem worse.

Stand in the corner with your arms bent at 90 degrees and lean into the corner stretching your pectoral muscles.

Do chin tucks.

Last but not least, stand like a champ, not like a chimp!

I highly recommend getting a balance ball. You can get a relatively cheap one at Target that comes with a DVD to show you how to use it. Balance balls help you with your balance and flexibility. They even work muscles like your abs that you don't realize you're working until the next day (always a bonus, right?). When I used mine (I need to get back on the stick), I noticed a change in my posture. I found that it just felt better to sit up straight, and using the balance ball really stretched out my back.

Push-ups and Crunch sit-ups.
