is there a health plan for someone that has had breast cancer. I am looking for an insurance plan.?

Question:
I am looking for affordable insurance that will cover doctors visits and surgeries. Please help

Answers:
I don't know your age but you could look into Medicare, Medicare Part B, Medicaid. Contact your Financial Assistance Office at the hospital where you will be treated. The hospital may also have a pharmacy assistance program for cheaper/free meds. Good luck to you.

Other Answers:
You need to check with the Department of Insurance in your state. They are in charge of a pool of insurance companies of which one would be assigned to you by the state after you registered
But cost and affordability is high even in the regular marketplace. Health insurance is usually only affordable through group plans at work, but even that is dwindling by the day. We need a national health insurance plan. Good luck in your contacts

yes.

I have learned to get insurance, you must be cancer free for at least 10 years.Depending on your finacial situation you can apply at your local health department, many now have medicaid plans especially for women with cancer. Check it cant hurt.

Sometimes you can get a plan that doesn't cover preexisting condition for 6 months or so but then it kicks in. Check and see if your state has Farm Bureau Blue Cross-Blue Shield.
