Are the reading glasses sold in drug stores safe for your eyes if you wear glasses?

My Opthalmologist told me to get them to supplement my regular perscription glasses for reading. He told me the strength to get and I've been using them for almost 2 years now without incident.

Yes, but make sure you get ones that are as close to your optometrist's prescription as you can.
