Can I self-test for hypoglycemia (low blood sugar)?

Question:
Does anyone know if there is a way to test myself at home for hypoglycemia?

Answers:
You would need to buy a meter that you can use at home- they can be bought at any drug store.

Other Answers:
No , the test requires at least two blood tests. You get a baseline test then drink a concentrated sweet drink and wait a while and take another test. A professional will read the results and determine the results. This is to see if you have the condition.

If you're having symptoms of hypoglycemia (shakiness, sweating, nausea, etc.) and then eat or drink something and feel better, then that may answer your question. Monitors are extremely expensive, but you can buy one if you want to. Do a web search on hypoglycemia and see if that sounds like you.

The easiest/practical way is to check the ff:

1. Dizzines
2. Light headedness
3. Hunger/thirst

But the best thing to do is consult w/ a doctor, prioritize your health!TC

You can use any of the blood sugar testing products offered for diabetics. However, be aware that if you test under 50, it may be inaccurate. If you test below 50, get to a doctor fast because you're skating on mighty thin ice.
