Low hematocrit even with supplements, any suggestions?

Question:
I regularly have my hematocrit tested & even with iron supplements & healthy diet it's still low. Suggestions?

Recipies for high iron foods would be good (no liver or oysters, please)

Answers:
when you take your vitamins, do not take them with milk. calcium blocks iron absorbancy. Raisins are high in iron, also increase your protien intake, lots of red meats. I am a Phlebotomist (I draw Blood), so I know about low Hematocrit lvls. If that doesn't work, I suggest going to the doctor and getting checked out. You could have a underlaying condition that is causing your low iron lvls. Good Luck!

Other Answers:
Wthout glyconutrients the cells of the body do not
recognize supplements.

i know you said no liver, but if you acqire a taste for liver you can eat your way back to life. Try flour and season well and fry it.
