Stockings or Tights?

Stockings always, Tights are too hot and constrictive to wear all day. I go to school everyday, and to work in an office in the afternoon, so I have to wear them for 10 hours straight. Stockings, with a garter belt are totally comfortable, but I would be dying halfway through if I wore tights.
