Why are some doctors considered an MD, and others a DO? What's the difference?

DO = Doctor of Osteopathy

Both types of doctors are authorized to practice medicine in the United States as long ss they are licensed in the state in which they practice.

The Doctor of Osteopathic medicine relies more on herbal remedies or nonsurgical remidies and the Medical Doctor just wants to plug you full of drugs and cut you open.
