My son had this when he was a baby (we think without pain). Our pediatrician said the safest way to treat this was to first give the accummulating fluid extra time to get reabsorbed into the body cavity. She said we'd look at surgery as an option after about 4 - 6 months. Thank God this "condition" went away just like she said without complications. So hang in there and say a prayer !!
