What is the best regimen for tattoo aftercare?

Question:

Answers:
Very hot water and dial soap for washing. Always take a paper towel and blot (not rub) the water off of the tattoo, and let air dry for about 5-10 minutes. The least expensive topical "ointment" that you can use is NON MEDICATED A&D. There is also a fantastic topical application called Tattoo Goo, but it tends to be a little pricier than the first. Make sure that you rub whatever topical application you went with into the skin lightly like lotion. You should only be able to see a hint of something there - NEVER overdo the topical application. Anytime the "ooze" has started to build up start the process all over again. Never pick at scabs! If for some reason the "ooze" turns into a small scab it will contain ink that can be pulled out of the skin. If you keep up with your tat you should see a break in the skin (through the healing process) after 5 days or so and see your perfected tattoo.
