What can I do about my slow heartbeat problem?

I am having a slow heartbeat problem. What can I do besides installing a pacemaker and more exercise?

is anyone here having eating disorder or proana?

Answers:
Depends on the cause of your slow heartbeat, and how slow it is. Athletic people may have slow heartbeats and that's normal. If you are on medicines that can cause your heart rate to slow down (e.g., beta blockers), you might be able to stop taking them or reduce the dose. If you have hypothyroidism that causes your heart rate to slow down, you could take thyroid supplements. If it's a heart conduction defect, you'll need a pacemaker.

What does your cardiologist tell you? What is your EKG rhythm other than slow? Do you have a heart block? A junctional rhythm? Do you pass out or almost faint? Has your physician tried any medications? Depending what your EKG is showing, the only answer may be a pace maker and this is the way it has to be.
