I think people think differently because of the way they brought up. The influence from parents, culture, religion, the exposure we get, the experience we had and society do take part in shaping the way we think.

The same thing with skill. For example, if you were to grow up in Singapore, chances are you will know how to communicate in English, Mandarin (in addition to the Dialects such as Hokkien Cantonese and Hakka), Malays and not surprising Hindi.Why?? Singapore as a nation acknowledges this languages as spoken languages in the country. Language is skill.
