I don't know the exact effects, however I do know what I feel after taking it. While I'm actually rolling on the pill, I feel good and all.Makes you feel happy, like nothin else matters and all that good stuff, but when I'm coming down off of that high, I tend to get really depressed.I have intense thoughts of suicide and failure. I'm not a doctor, but I doubt any doctors are regularly posting on this site so I at least know this will be helpful: Ecstasy literally eats holes in your brain. No, this will not happen the first time, but it almost always happens to habitual users. It impairs cognitive ability profoundly and permanently. Yes, it can kill you the first time, but that's not from the brain I don't think (as far as I know a first-time user could only die from dehydration, which it also causes). MDMA (ecstasy) is quite harmful on its own, but keep in mind, no matter what the guy who dresses like a hippie and says he knows everything about drugs tells you, you cannot even get your hands on pure MDMA anymore. Ecstasy as we know it today is full of "cutters," which are frequently cheap speed-like products that are even worse for you than MDMA, and sometimes even consist of random things people find under their sink. This is not a drug anyone should be experimenting with. I know because I've done it.
