i have got cold problem throughout the year for which i take cetrizine tabs,is there any side effect?

Im a med student and as far as i know cetrizine is one of the safest second generation anti histaminics and as for side effects mainly drowsiness tht too very subjective.When u say u catch cold thru out da year im not sure how many tablets u take.too much of anythin is gud for nothin.and do confirm with a doctor if its a cold or sinusitis or maybe allergic rhinitis..get well:)

Cetirizine (generic for Zyrtec) has a few side effects.

Stop taking cetirizine and seek emergency medical attention if you experience a rare but serious allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of the throat; swelling of the lips, tongue, or face; or hives).

Other, less serious side effects may be more likely to occur. Continue to take cetirizine and talk to your doctor if you experience

* drowsiness;
* dizziness;
* headache; or
* dry mouth.

I'm also a pharmacy technician, and I've taken Zyrtec before. I think it's a good drug, I've never had problems with it.
