If they are leather take a moist towel, with water and diluted bleach, and wipe the inner soles and insides with the moistened towel. Let air dry. Bleach will get rid of any odor! Bleach kills germs, bacteria, and viruses! In your shoes lurks bacteria that is causing the odor. Just day to day sweating in a shoe can cause this. Make sure you are changing your socks daily! When you take them off at night, put a good amount of baking soda in them. In the morning, shake the baking soda into the garbage or toilet [no, don't get the shoes wet]. Many professional athletic teams have a huge container of baking soda in the locker room and the guys put some in their shoes when they remove them.and shake it out into the garbage can before they wear them the next time. Those locker rooms no longer smell like dirty shoes.
