Question about early period?

I have been on the pill for about 8 months now, and after a few months of adjustment, my perods became very regular. However, this month, my period is a week early. Almost 2 weeks ago (the first week of pills after my period) I was sick and took my pill late one day (I usually take it in the morning, but that day I took it closer to supper time)
Could that be causing my early period?
Or could it be stress? I am in college, and it's finals week.
What else could it be?
If anyone else has had this problem, I would like to hear what you think.

Answers:
Could be stress, or other factors, Also the pill, depending on what kind it is you should check with your doctor what to do if you miss one, in some cases it is better to not take it at all, or to stop treatment for a month, or just take it when you remember, even two pills together. Depends on what contraceptive pill you are on.

it can also be from stress as well but that is natural for any women. If you delay on your pills, your body will repsond a bit later/sooner as far as getting your period. Your body is use to a schedule and certain time when u take em, so once it is delayed, the period will be a bit irregular. but just in case, you should consult with a female doctor just to be sure as well.
