Septoplasty.?

Question:
Have anyone been perfomed a septoplasty? how is it? I know what it is about. I'm going to get one soon. I want to know your experience.

Answers:
I had a septoplasty with my tonsilectomy when i was 24.
1- Make sure you tell them you dont want the long term packing, you will have packing in while in the recovery room but it should come out before you go home. When they take it out it is a little uncomfortable but not sharp pain or anything.
2- You will feel like you got kicked by a horse, but its not really that painful, just some pressure.
3- as much as you want to dont touch the inside and try to keep it clean before they take the stitches out, mine were infected and it was bad.
4- Make sure you take pain meds before you go to get the stitches and splints taken out. After a week i got my stitches out and i was good to go.

It is DEFINATLY worth it. I can breath and sleep much better. Just take all your pain meds and relax for a couple weeks and youll be great.
