How do you find a doctor that you can really trust is working for you and not just to make big bucks?
flexible partials vs. metal partials?
Answers:
The ONLY time I ever got a good surgeon was through luck. My best friend working in another state worked for the same kind of surgeon I needed. She asked the doctor who was the best in my area and I thank the powers that be I got the best there is.
Another suggestion - ask for the doctor's CV. If s/he hasn't published anything ever or lately, if the doctor doesn't do teaching or actively participate in some form of continuing education, forget it. Also, ask HOW MANY ppl the doctor has treated with your condition. Look up your Secretary of State and see if there are any complaints, as well as if they are compliant with their registration in your state. Also you can go to the AMA website, and another one (below) to find out Board Certification.
