advantages of using MRI and CT scanner together?
Is there any permanent remedy for Tinitus (ear ringing)?
Answers:
CT scans provide detailed imaging of the brain structure: providing infomation variations in tissue, vessels, etc. MRI can be used to record real-time blood flow (indicating brain activity). When the two are combined, you can correlate brain activations (fMRI) to the detailed structural imagines (CT). When used alone, CT doesn't give real-time activation information and fMRI alone doesn't give as detailed of structural images as CT.

Do you know any specific websites that help you cope with an eating disorders?
Pain will be relieved much faster and you may be able to avoid narcotics like morphine. Do them together MRI and CT.They look at differnt parts of the anatomy.
CAT scans are a type of x-ray. You can see bone and blood really well on them. Hard to see anything having to do with soft tissue on them without dye.
MRI are good for imaging soft tissue.not so good at seeing hard things like calcifications and the like.
In an extremely difficult or life threatening differential diagnosis, you might do both. Usually, however, you already know what the problem is and are looking for confirmation. You choose the imaging modality best for what you are looking for.
