To the best of my knowledge and reseaching this medication I have not found anything adverse in the gaining of weight. However, it does have it's draw back, such as diarrhea, headache,infection, chills, chest pain. However these symptoms do not appear in everyone. Since this is a prescription drug I would recommend that you have a full check up from your Pimary Physician and let him make the judgement if this what medication that you would need.
