I too suffer from panic/anxiety attacks and, at their worst, they are crippling. I have a great doctor that treats me with meds (as needed) and I have found one thing that personally works great for me. When I feel an attack coming on I ask myself 3 questions and I can ALWAYS talk myself out of the feeling. They are:

1. Where am I?
2. What am I doing?
3. What do I need right now?

Anxiety is usually the result of anticipating the unknown, these questions bring you back to the present. When my therapist told me this I thought she was kidding, but after I tried it once and it worked, I have not needed to take any meds for close to 2 years now.

Try it! You never know. Also, ask your doc about the medication imipramine. Good luck and remember..
YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

Other Answers:
If your anxiety is really that bad, then you need to go see a doctor - the doctor should be able to provide you with medication which will help you to cope better and feel less anxious.

Good Luck and God bless.

when your anxiety turns that bad.You have a panic attack

if it needs medical attention, go get it. Emotions are really chemical reactions in our brain. Sometimes they get out of balanc

Everyone sometimes in live thinks like this it is really a panic attack, last year i had a lump in my neck and i had a terrible time regarding death i had all the test and all i know is i was fighting a unknown infection. When u get these feelings coming on try to concetrate on another matter like reading or writing anything that will start u thinking of another matter and take your mind of the problem it does work.

u can tell me evrything in detail then i solve the problem

Four years ago I was diagnosed with social anxiety disorder with panic attacks, mild agoraphobia and depression. I have come a long long way with the help of a mild anti-depressant, a great therapist(more like a friend really), a supportive family and loving God! I have had many anxiety attacks in public and at home.I have severe sweating, nausea, heart races, etc.I have learned to be able to tell when it is going to occur..I do deep breathing, listen to music (which is a great love of mine) when possible, or get outside in the fresh air.I keep repeating over and over in my head "Jesus" (use any word which is a comfort to you).begin to visualize beautiful, peaceful surroundings(something that is comforting to you). Taking care of yourself between these attacks, such as learning relaxation techniques and meditation helps tremendously. Good grace to you and may God bless!
