is herpies a treatable disease and if so how can it be treated.?

Question:
my girlfriend informed me she has herpies but we have not had sex because of my fear of the disease.i was just wondering when we do have protected sex what the risk of me catching herpies from her would be.

Answers:
You could still catch it possibly. Most def if she has an outbreak. I think it depends on where the outbreaks occur. But to be extra safe, talk with a REAL nurse or doctor.

There should be a hotline that you could call as well. Search for it on the net.

your chances are pretty high..condom or no condom. but if you love this girl and plan on being with her forever then it should'nt matter.. and herpes can be treated and you'll have fewer outbreaks if you take Valtrex (prescribed by a doc) and stay healthy(diet exercise and vitamins) Good luck!!

what ive herd from A helth teacher and a speaker is that any contact down there can spread herpies and as i know of there is no cure

Did you know that the cold sores on your lips are the same as genital herpes. Thats why it is refered to as "genital herpes". Oral sex can cause genital herpes and touching your lip and then scratching yourself can cause them. So.if you know that you love this girl go ahead and get it.you could spread it to yourself anyway. LOL.

It can be cured electronically.

Something called the Electronic black-box. It may take 3 weeks, but it's worth it.

actually the cold sores in your mouth are caused by herpes simplex virus 1 and genital herpes is usually caused by HSV 2.
