In my case any bad side effects are minimal. some people can't take prozac and they have to try different meds like Paxil etc. Every person is different.it takes about 4-8 weeks before you feel normal/good. In the first few weeks headaches may occur, but usually adjusting the dosage can help. Increased thirst. It dries up all of your orafices so you really must take care of your teeth since your saliva decreases and the dryness reaks havoac in the mouth. 8 glasses of water a day is a must. taking prozac in day made me nauseated and racing heart. so dr. said I could take it at night.never on an empty stomach.
