I'm doing an argumentive paper. Why goinig to a licensed cosmetoligist is better than doing your own hair at home. Would like to have feedback on this also a libary data base I can access.

ok well styling your hair is alright but the mess i have had to clean up off of stupid people that think they can do their hair at home..I have had to strip hair from black or a dark color back to their natural.i had a teenager that had tried to give herself highlights and left the bleach on too long and gave herself a white patch (white when bleaching is bad it means that the hair is almost ready to break) this is without a toner and then the girl tells me can i strip her hair "because everyone admires me for my long blonde hair" oh gag me.so i told her that everyone would be admiring her for her pixie cut..what else..i have had some of the most uneven haircuts and its usually the moms that dont want to take their kids to get their hair done and we have the kid who looks like he has been cut with a weedwacker and we have to fix it..perms and bleaching and even color if high enough peroxide level can leave chemical burns and you know thats what is the main thing i have seen burns on scalps from at home dye jobs and its horrible..i hope this helps
I take some fancy vitamin pills, is that a good idea?

The only argument I could give about that would be you would get a fresh and objective (outsiders, more honest) view of what would look good on you. For example if you were in a rut of doing your hair the same way all the time, they might give you an updated or fresh look.
I've dieted and exercised forever and don't seem to lose the weight.. What should I do?
If you do it at home, you could mess your hair up. If you mess your hair up, you might not have all the right tools to fix it like the pro's do.Also, they have better products that last longer and work better on your hair.. It's better to go to a licensed cosmotoligist rather than going to, say, K-Mart or Walmart and getting hair tools.
Good luck! =)

I have a numb spot on my left outer upper thigh on my leg.?
Styling at home is fine. Even doing some hair dying too. But I would say only temporary hair color that's not a big change from your own. (Any big change in cut/color should be handled professionally.) There are simply too many variables when dying hair, and a licensed professional is far better equipped to avoid disasters like greenish hair!Trimming at home can be ok, if you can't afford to go every 3-4 wks; but for an actual cut, definitly go to a licensed professional.if only for the fact that we don't have triple-jointed shoulder sockets! :) It is incredibly difficult, especially w/long hair to get the back right. Even a prof. stylist has other ppl do the back of her hair!
Plus, styling hair is artistic.don't we want to support the arts? :) Hope this helps!
