I used to have a terrible time with anxiety. It would keep me from doing things like going outside. I would have these feelings of guilt and not often would they be connected directly to anything. It was horrible! I was an emotional mess, for sure. The things that seemed to help me were.
Try not to dwell on anything for very long. I know that that can be difficult, but you just have to stop yourself.I had to come to the conclusion that I was human and that we all make a mistake or two or bunches of them and that it was just a part of living. If you aren't making mistakes, then you are just not living.Especially avoid it when you start to sweat over the small things. By that I will use as an example.when you try to get your point across, but people don't get you. I have learned that you are not going to be "gotten" by everyone.
Look for pleasure in the simple things and try to be a simple person. I don't mean that you should dumb down yourself, just not to try to solve the worlds problems.
Physical and mental activity really helps. If you are not doing some type of sport or working on a hobby, you are loosing out on the benefits that they offer for your mind. For example, with physical activity you can get your blood pumping and full of endorphins (that is a good thing). It makes you think more clearly. While a good hobby like playing an instrument or basket weaving, helps you in making different connections in the brain as you are focused on something besides plain existence. For the both of these there is another common side effect, you can feel good about getting better at something. One of the things that I had mentioned before needs to be kept up with before this can be healthy:) You don't want to set yourself up for failure by thinking that you are going to be a star.Then there is the other benefit.most of the sports and hobbies can be done with others.
Read some books. There are a lot of people that come before us, that have been through so much more than we could even comprehend. Some of them wrote autobiographies. In there, they usually have some great view points that you may pick up.
Always remember that your mind is yours! You control it, and never let it control you. I hope that makes sensce to you because that is a huge part of treating anxiety. You have to control your thoughts. Pick and choose them. Don't get stuck in a loop. If you keep coming to the same thing in your mind all of the time, you are not going to get over it.sometimes the best way to get through something is to go around it.
If you find that you can't have good laugh, then all of this may take some time. When you can get a good laugh going, then you are on your way. Laughter is a really great medicine.
You may need to find a higher purpose for your life.I suggest that you should at least be on a quest to leave this world a better one for you having been in it. I will leave the rest of this topic alone for now.
While medications can help in dulling you over, the side effect, or even the main effect can be harmful. I would really think about going with that route. Avoid it if you can. I think that you can, so.
Be yourself, face your fears head on with blinders, don't dwell on anything, and remember that your mind is your own!

cognitive therapy, in other words, feel the fear and do it anyway. meds might help(Xanax, Klonopin, anti-depressants). Also if u can find a support group, remember u are not alone.I use Zoloft it is good, just came off paxil.hard drug to get out of system and has side effects if you miss a few doses.Zoloft makes me feel better.Good Luck, and by the way, depression makes you feel crazy and alone .we are not alone nor crazy

Therapy can help, but for anxiety, best resolution is the drug route. Klonopin, valium, ativan are common meds. Plus, if it is really bad, try joining blogs, help groups, or group therapy sessions to listen to others with similar problems and see how they deal with it. One does not need to have a PhD to be able to treat a disorder. But, no one is going to know how best to cope.but you. Good luck :-)

Speak your mind sometime instead of holding everything in or go to church.If you know you have anxiety disorders, then I assume you've already seen a mental health professional. If that's the case, the first thing you need to do is look into takening Zoloft 50 to 100mg, depending on your level of anxiety that your going through. I use lexparo 20 mgs and Valium and a support group and get plenty of rest and I stay away from what I now brings them on this seams to really help I'm going on 12 years with this problem . good luckI have anxiety, and im on 10 mg of Lexapro and that little dose helps me so much. It has hardly any side affects.
