Are low carb diets bad for health? What about the ones which profess eating too much proteins (as in meats)?

What is the fastest and healthiest way to lose weight, when you have no discipline?

Answers:
Actually, there has been some evidence in the media recently that a low carb diet could cause serious health conditions. http://www.preventdisease.com/news/articles/032006_low-carb.shtml

Low carb diets are generally safe if you follow them for short-period of time. Everybody needs healthy complex carbs in their diet and restricting yourself from them can most definitely hamper your physical activity, recovery and health in the long-term.

I am enrolled in the AARPMedicareRX plan, but have not received a card/verification & cannot get my drugs?

can you have CHD and not have high blood pressure?

You can lose a lot of weight quickly. But as soon as you go back to eating carbs, even if you don't overeat, all the weight comes back.
Protein is very good for you, especially if you're exercising. If you want to build muscle, you need to eat protein. If you want to lose weight, you want to build muscle.
That doesn't mean going overboard and eating only protein. You can cut back on white bread and eat more brown rice, for instance. Just make smart choices.
Personally I start to feel slow and stupid after a few days of no carbs at all. I dream about bread until I eat some carbs, and then I can't go back to not eating them.
