Oh boy, can I empathize with you! I had the same problem a long time ago. I was so anemic, I could hardly function (would sleep almost 15 hours in one day and still wake up tired!). My problem was fibroids. Mine got so bad, I looked like I was five months pregnant. I felt so bad, I opted to get a hysterectomy (ovaries are still intact). This may or may not be your problem, but check with your gyno and have them do an ultrasound. They can tell just by palpating your abdomen, but the ultrasound will better reveal the size. If so, there are other alternatives to hysterectomy that are non-invasive. One method is called Uterine Fibroid Embolization (I was part of a study for this just before my hystectomy in 2001). The link gives you more information about it.
Hugs to you! I know what you're going through!
