Best thing is sleep and fluids. A cold is a virus and there is nothing you can take to lessen the extent of the cold's lifecycle. Everything the pharmaceutical companies sell is only masking the cold to make you feel a little better, but it actually can prolong the life of the cold virus. I'm right there with you as I caught one from my daughter.
