On beginning a new career at 57, what field in health care would be the best, shortest to achieve, best paying
Question:
Answers:
You're asking a lot, I think the best you'll get now is cook or care assistant. Jobs go to younger people now, the last care home I worked in was full of 18 and 19 year olds who had no idea what they were doing, but it was cheaper to employ them.

at age 57 maybe you should be looking for a retirement home!
What is your previous education and experience? There are many different ways to go in the medical profession, talk to a career counselor, they can help you find a path that will take full advantage of your current skills.
You can do medical asistant (about 18 months training) or Nursing assistant (about 3 months training) phlebotomy (about 2 months trainig)
Medical Claims billing (about 12 months)
medical coding (about 6 months)
It all depends if you want to do sit down or actually do hands on in healthcare
Also, the pay rate depends on where you live
radiology is worth a look radiography is a 2 year cert
Cert med assistant is soso
Lpn also a 2 year degree
you are not too old and nursing is in high demand.
do not go cna except as working to lpn cna is a low field in pay and hard physical work.
look up salary ranges for fields you are interested in.
