I am pregnant and taking lovenox medication. I HATE IT,IT HURTS LIKE HELL.Is there anything else i can take?

I have tried putting the shots in many places but the things is that it trully BURNS LIKE HELL. I feel the burning sensation the minute it comes in. The shot does not hurt, its the medications that burns. I have a very high tolerance for pain but this is incredible. The pain got so bad that I stopped taking the LOVENEX for a day or two because of the pain . Which then resulted in me geting a higher dosage from the doctor (I didn't want to tell the doctor that I was not taking it). Recently, my husband injected me and I yelled take it out take it out and ended up crying. For someone who does not know the felling, imagine being injected with alcohol staight in the blood. Hurts like hell.I HATE THIS MEDICEN, SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME..I DREAD TAKING THE MEDICATION TWICE A DAY. There has to be something else that can help, hebs, natural substances. I am willing to do any kind of excercise, eat any foods, go on any diet anything but take this medication. SOmeone please help me.

I totally know what you're going through. I had to take lovenox in pregnancy too and it was totally crappy. Here are a few things that made it easier for me.put a cold compress (one that's flat, like a frozen-gel compress) on the injection site for at least 3 minutes to numb the spot. (Use it for another 3 minutes after the shot too.) Avoid the area around the belly button because that's the worst. Take your time in doing the injection if it hurts and be sure that you're watching something interesting on TV so you can focus on something other than the pain. You can eventually teach your body to push through the pain and this will really come in handy when you go into labor. I found that there were a few spots on me that hurt too much to get injections so keep trying different spots on your stomach. Also, some of the injection needles are bent or dull and just hurt a lot more than others so if you have a particularly difficult one that's probably why. Lovenox really is a miracle drug even though it hurts like heck. It's the only thing that kept me from miscarrying. Take a look at this site.
