Is it possible to strengthen your joints (similar to muscles)?
Question:
If so, how?
In addition, how well does Glycociamine work (and the other one that is used with it - I forget the name of it.)?
Thanks
Answers:
When you talk about strengthening your joints, there are two things to consider. One is to strengthen the connective tissues (i.e. ligaments and tendons); the other is to strengthen the muscles that support the joint.
You can definitely do exercises to strengthen the supporting muscles (this is a common physical therapy technique to speed recovery from joint injuries and prevent future injuries). As for strengthening the connective tissues, I don't know enough about that to say if you can do that through exercise.
As for glucosamine, its partner that you're thinking of is probably chondroitin. There has been mixed data on how well it works, but part of the problem is what has been studied. So far, the two biggest clinical trials (both completed last year) focused on whether glucosamine can help people who suffer from arthritis. One said yes; one said no. They both agreed, though, that there did not appear to be any significant side effects.
From a sports perspective, however, many people are more interested in whether glucosamine can help heal or prevent injuries, which is a very different question. Unfortunately, I have not seen much (if any) reliable trials exploring this question.

you've got some good info from the previous but i must add
that beer does not contain CO2 which you put in my add and
that interconnective tissue bone, ligament and muscle are
stimulated by proteins and fats in the correct order.
proteins are a building block of new material and fats
are their conductivity, like vitamin d and sun light.
quality fats play a pivitol role in the musculoskeltal
conductivity.
