Blood Clots, Women only please.?

Question:
A young girl who is a virgin has these blood clots while on her period. I'm not sure if being a virgin or not might help in the information, but the blood clots can be the size of a nickel at times. Is this dangerous, or normal? I know some will say go to a doctor, and that will happen in the future, but for the time being, can anyone relate? What's up with this?

Answers:
A couple of my friends pass Huge Blood clots. Ive asked them about it and they said that it is normal. I would think that it is normal. and since they are a virgin then i think that shouldnt mean anything. Ive plassed some good size ones.. The only time i would really worrie about it is if they have sex and then it could be a miscarege. But the best bet is to check with a obgyn. But till then i wouldnt worry about it. Worring about it can be scarry.. Best of luck.

Other Answers:
I can't say the reasoning behind it but it is ok.I had.have them about that size every now and then.

having blood clots during your period is normal. the blood clots are the lining of your uterus that has been shed. again, it's totally normal.
and the clots are not discarded eggs..haha

i'm a girl!!

having what appears to be blood clots while on your period is normal and will fluctuate from month to month.it has to do with the shedding of the uterine lining.unless you have severe cramping, are going thru more tampons/pads than normal or have a foul smelling discharge, you will be ok.ask your doctor if you have any more concerns..good luck

This sounds perfectly normal.
are they a dark redish color? This is perfectly normal hon,no need to worry about this, its justthe shedding of the uterise lining If there is no chance of pregnancy or anything, there is no need for concern.
The only way a dr.would be needed is if this happened while not on your period.
Thanks sweety:)

Some people just pass clots. Nickel sized is not that big. If they become, like golf ball size then maybe a doctor should be consulted.

If the young girl is very active, she has more blood circulating throughout her body, including her pelvis which may increase her menstrual flow. The body has a way of keeping us from hemmorraging by clotting our blood. That might be one reason. She might cramp when she passes clots.
